When to Use User-Specific Config
Sometimes you need to give a specific person a unique menu — for example, a marketing manager who needs access to WooCommerce reports but not other admin areas.
How to Set Up
- Go to Menu Editor and click the By User tab.
- Search for the user by name or email.
- Select the user — the menu tree loads showing their current view.
- Make your changes and click Save Configuration.
User Config vs Role Config
User-specific config always takes priority over role-based config. If you have a role config for “Editor” but also a user config for “John (Editor)”, John will see the user config.
